2020 has been one intense and crazy year. It’s been hard for everyone in one way or the other. My heart goes out to all the families that have been affected. As I reflect on this past year I remember being so excited for 2020 because it was 2020 and then everything happened. I remember the moment we had to shut down ….I think I was in shock that it was happening. I had to contact all my clients and tell them that I can’t be there for them and their newborn. My heart was broken for each and every one of my clients. We had three months of shut down. My family and I didn’t go anywhere and we sent my husband out to get grocery about once a month. It was a very strange time like all the post-apocalyptic movies that we love to watch….as if we were living in one.
The first month, I spent it with the kids and doing activities with them. We made home made play dough, jello, and cookies together. We painted, we walked, and we rode our bikes. The second month hit and I felt hopeless. I was missing work, my families, and my newborns. The third month of shutdown, I updated my website, my work, and figured out how to work with the new norm. It’s been hard but I’m so glad that I was able to be back to work. Thank you to all my families that have supported my family and I through all of this. Thank you for giving me work to keep me busy and occupied. Thank you for entrusting me with your precious babies. I’m so glad that we met and I look forward to seeing you all again when this is over. Here’s to 2021!
