A TYPICAL SESSION

The typical session lasts about 1-2 hours. For a typical newborn shoot, it’s also about 1-2 hours but I will stay until we get the shots depending on babies feeding, and cooperation. The remainder of the session fee minus the deposit is due at the time of the session by either cash, or check. I shoot on location around 4pm in the afternoon or in the morning around 10am. I only book 3 sessions a week so my dates/times go fast!

WHAT TO EXPECT

What you can expect is not posed photographs for the family but more lifestyle. Just picture me spending the day with you and your family having a good time. I might move a piece of hair, ask you to do something silly, or move an arm or leg but that’s about it. My goal is to capture you and your family at it’s most natural state. I love all smiles, pouts and crying.

After you contact me, I’ll be emailing you to get more information, to get to know you and your family better and to find out what you’re looking for with a few quick questions so that I can best fulfill your needs.

If we’re doing a newborn shoot, I’ll be supplying my props, wraps, and baskets to take pictures of your newborn (unless there is something specific you’d like to add to it ie. grandma’s quilt or mom’s old stuffed animal). I’ll need a clean and uncluttered wall in your home with lots of natural light. I also love to take pictures of babies’ new surroundings. ie. the nursery and/or master bedroom. Having a clean and uncluttered area will make for better pictures.

WHAT TO WEAR

Please wear whatever you want! I will definitely assist if you want something different or if you have a certain style that you are wanting to achieve. My personal favorites “go to” color choices are solid whites, neutrals and grays. We can talk about it more here.

WHAT YOU GET

Each session includes my time, talent, and professionally edited images, and file preparation. All photo sessions are done on-location, using natural light in an outdoor setting or within your home. Final photos can take up to 2-3 weeks to be completed.

I often share a sneak peak for the family on Facebook within 48 hours of the session. When posting pictures online, I may share your last name and some small details. You are welcome and encouraged to tag and share these photos.
